Honor has responded to recent user complaints about an apparent Honor screenshot bug that shows a warning during screen captures. Some users had been seeing a message that says the phone can’t capture a screenshot because storage space is limited, even though their devices still have plenty of available storage.
According to the source report, Honor R&D engineer Cao Gong said the warning is misleading. Even when the storage error message appears, the screenshot itself is still saved to the gallery normally, so the issue seems to be tied to the prompt rather than to actual storage failure.
Honor says the issue has already been confirmed internally, and the team has also found a solution. The fix is currently being validated, and once that verification is complete, the company says it will push the update out as soon as possible.
That means affected users likely don’t need to worry about losing screenshots because of the warning alone. Based on the explanation given so far, this looks more like an incorrect system notification than a deeper fault with screenshot saving or local storage behavior.
The same response also touched on another user question involving the new magnetic secondary screen accessory tied to the Honor 600 series. According to Cao Gong, adaptation work for other products is also underway, with more progress updates expected later.
