Caviar Unveils a $10,900 iPhone 17 Pro Max T-Great Edition Inspired by the Trump T1

Caviar iPhone 17 Pro Max customization is going in a very political direction this time. The luxury brand has introduced a new “T-Great” edition built on Apple’s iPhone 17 Pro Max, saying the design was created as a response to the recently launched Trump Mobile T1 smartphone.

Instead of using Apple’s standard glass-and-titanium exterior, Caviar replaces the shell with a jewelry alloy body finished with dual 24K gold plating. The back panel is centered around a raised letter T, with a stylized American flag placed below it. Caviar says the flag is made with traditional cloisonné enamel work, using colored enamel and gold dividers to reproduce all 50 stars and 13 stripes.

The frame itself uses a black anodized finish, which creates a sharp contrast against the gold rear panel. Because the phone swaps in a metal back, Apple’s original wireless charging and MagSafe support no longer work on this version.

Caviar also extended the same visual language to the packaging. Buyers get an interactive premium case that opens with an included 24K gold-plated key, which is clearly meant to reinforce the collector-piece angle rather than everyday practicality.

This version is only offered in a 1TB configuration, and Caviar has priced it at $10,900. The company also says existing owners can send in their own iPhone 17 Pro Max for conversion, although it hasn’t published a standalone retrofit price.

The background to this release is part of the pitch. Trump Mobile announced the Trump T1 smartphone project in June 2025 and marketed it as a US-made device. But after the first units shipped in May this year, the phone was criticized for apparently being based on an older HTC U24 Pro or T-Mobile REVVL 7 Pro 5G platform, along with color and design inconsistencies compared with the original promotional images.

Caviar says it received a wave of requests for a Trump T1-style custom design and decided to build what it describes as a truly premium American-themed product on top of Apple’s flagship hardware instead. Whether buyers see it as satire, tribute, or pure luxury branding, it’s definitely one of the more unusual limited edition iPhone launches of the year.
