Samsung Galaxy S26 FE Could Arrive in September With an Exynos 2500 Chip

A new leak says Samsung may keep using its own silicon in the next Fan Edition phone, with the Galaxy S26 FE reportedly lined up to use the Exynos 2500. The claim comes from tipster Erencan Yılmaz and adds to the growing picture around Samsung’s late-2026 phone roadmap.

The source didn’t name the chip outright in every detail, but Android Authority believes the device will most likely use the same Exynos 2500 platform expected in the Galaxy Z Flip7. At this point, it’s still unclear whether Samsung could also prepare a Snapdragon-based version for some markets.

That chip choice would fit the broader FE formula. Samsung has often used slightly older or cost-controlled flagship-class processors in Fan Edition models, with the Galaxy S25 FE using Exynos 2400 and the Galaxy S24 FE relying on Exynos 2400e. In that context, an Exynos 2500-powered Galaxy S26 FE would be a fairly consistent move.

The report also says Samsung may unveil the phone in September during a Galaxy Unpacked event, alongside the Galaxy Z Fold8 and Galaxy Z Flip8. If that timing holds, the S26 FE would land as part of Samsung’s fall hardware push rather than as a separate off-cycle release.

Benchmark traces have already added a bit more detail. According to the cited Geekbench entry, the phone posted a single-core score of 2426 and a multi-core score of 8004, while the listing also pointed to 8GB of memory and a 10-core chip layout.

That Exynos 2500 configuration is described as a 1+2+5+2 design, including one Cortex-X925 core clocked at 3.30GHz, two Cortex-A725 cores at 2.74GHz, five more Cortex-A725 cores at 2.36GHz, and two Cortex-A520 efficiency cores running at 1.80GHz. Samsung hasn’t confirmed any of this yet, but the leak offers a fairly detailed early look at what the Galaxy S26 FE could bring.
