A fresh leak is putting the spotlight back on the Galaxy Z Fold8 Wide, a wider-format foldable that Samsung is reportedly developing alongside its regular Fold lineup. The new material was shared by The Cipher Project on Telegram after digging through an early One UI 9 firmware build.
According to the leak, the design images show the phone in both folded and unfolded views, with dark and light versions of the front layout. The device is reportedly carrying the internal codename H8.

What stands out most is the rumored 4:3 inner display ratio. If that detail holds up, Samsung may be pushing this model more aggressively toward multitasking, note-taking, and large-screen productivity rather than simply chasing a taller phone-like shape.
The leaked details say the inner screen could measure 7.6 inches, while the outer display may come in at 5.4 inches. The unfolded thickness is said to be about 4.5mm, which would make this a notably slim foldable if the final hardware matches the early information.
Battery capacity is rumored to be 5,000mAh, with support for 45W wired charging. The phone is also expected to ship with One UI 9 and include software tuning aimed at better multitasking and display optimization for the wider panel format.
Nothing here is official yet, so it still belongs in the leak category. Even so, the current picture suggests Samsung sees the Samsung foldable market as broad enough to support a more specialized wide-format model focused on productivity and portability.
