A new leak has outlined the full spec sheet for the upcoming HMD Vibe 2, giving a clearer picture of what HMD Global is preparing for the entry-level smartphone market in India.
According to details shared by tipster smashx_60, the phone is set to launch soon with a Unisoc T7200 processor, 4GB of RAM, and either 128GB or 256GB of storage. The reported starting price is 6,499 Indian rupees, which puts the device firmly in the budget segment.
The handset is said to come in black and gold finishes. On the front, it uses a 6.75-inch HD+ IPS LCD display with a 90Hz refresh rate and a waterdrop-style notch. That front camera is listed at 5MP.
On the rear, the HMD Vibe 2 is expected to include a 50MP main camera paired with a 0.08MP secondary sensor.
Battery capacity is reportedly 5,000mAh, with support for 10W wired charging. The phone is also said to carry an IP52 rating and support TF card expansion, which could make it a more practical option for buyers who prioritize storage flexibility over higher-end hardware.
IT Home noted that since 2025, HMD Global hasn’t introduced a true midrange follow-up and has instead focused more heavily on affordable devices. If this leak is accurate, the HMD Vibe 2 would fit neatly into that strategy as another low-cost release aimed at value-conscious users.
