A new hands-on mockup video is giving Apple watchers another early look at what may eventually launch as the iPhone Ultra foldable. The clip, shared on X by leaker @KaroulSahil on June 5, shows dummy units of Apple’s rumored foldable device in two finishes: white and a deep blue shade that looks close to black in some lighting.
The color options line up with earlier reporting around the foldable iPhone. Apple is said to be testing two internal color directions for the device: a classic silver-white finish and a darker indigo blue that may sit visually close to the deep blue tone associated with the iPhone 17 Pro.
While the design shown here is still a mockup rather than a confirmed retail unit, it gives a clearer sense of how Apple may position its first large-screen folding handset. The expected name, iPhone Ultra foldable, also points to a more premium placement than a standard iPhone model.

Supply chain analyst Ming-Chi Kuo has previously warned that Apple could face production yield and capacity ramp-up challenges in the early stage of the product. If that happens, the first-generation Apple foldable phone could remain in short supply through at least the end of 2026.
Kuo also noted that the widely discussed 15 million to 20 million unit sales forecast is more likely to represent cumulative demand across a two- to three-year product cycle, rather than sales from the initial launch window alone. In other words, Apple may be planning for strong long-term demand, but early availability could still be tight.
