Lenovo says the next Lenovo Legion Y70 will be introduced on May 19, and one of the headline features will be a new 2K gaming display.

In its latest teaser, Lenovo claims this panel delivers lower power consumption than competing 1.5K screens. The message is straightforward: the company wants to position the phone as offering both high resolution and better efficiency, rather than forcing buyers to choose one or the other.

Earlier official teasers already outlined more of the hardware design. Lenovo says the new Lenovo gaming phone uses the Legion family design language, along with a finely textured glass back and an aerospace-grade aluminum alloy frame.

The company has also highlighted what it calls an ergonomically tuned gaming grip, plus a camera module layout meant to feel less awkward in hand during landscape play.

Lenovo is planning to introduce more than just the phone at the same event. The May 19 launch is also expected to include the Legion Y900 tablet and the Legion Y7000X, expanding the broader Legion lineup at the same time.

For now, Lenovo hasn’t published the full technical breakdown of the display. Still, the teaser makes it clear that screen quality and power efficiency are central to the pitch for this upcoming gaming-focused handset.
