OPPO ColorOS design director Chen Xi has shared a short video highlighting two small ColorOS 16 details that are meant to make the update feel a little more useful and a little more fun.
The first change is practical. Some update logs now include an “Experience Now” jump link at the end, letting users go straight from the changelog to the related feature instead of hunting through settings on their own. It’s a small adjustment, but it makes the release notes feel more actionable.
The second detail is more about ceremony. Chen Xi also pointed to a ranking-style easter egg tied to early-access upgrades, something users have already started sharing online. OPPO clearly wants the update process to feel less mechanical and a bit more playful for people who like trying new builds early.

IT Home had previously reported that OPPO introduced the headline features of ColorOS 16 in mid-April. Those announced highlights included a redesigned lock-screen island, smoother notification organization, more seamless transitions and system-level animations, plus a broader push around AI-assisted tools.
Among the AI additions OPPO has previewed are one-tap travel memory capture, parameter recognition, menu translation, and Xiaobu suggestions for smart arrival reminders. The company has also shown upgrades to its flexible window system, with gestures for resizing, changing layout, tiling views, and quickly switching a floating window into full-screen mode.
Other features previously introduced for the update include AI stylus tools and better coordination with a PC display, such as screen extension and keyboard-and-mouse sharing. On their own, the new changelog links and upgrade easter egg are small touches, but they fit OPPO’s broader attempt to make OPPO software updates feel smoother, more discoverable, and more personality-driven.
