A fresh leak suggests the OPPO Reno 16 Pro line could shift back toward a stronger upper-midrange position, with a test unit reportedly running MediaTek’s Dimensity 9400+ platform.
According to the early details, the new series may come in white, black, purple, and green. Storage options are said to include 12GB+256GB, 12GB+512GB, 16GB+256GB, 16GB+512GB, and possibly a 16GB+1TB version, although that top trim may not make it to retail.
The engineering sample is rumored to use a 6.78-inch 1.5K LTPO flat display with very slim bezels. The leak also points to a much larger battery, with the phone said to pack a 7000mAh battery.
Camera hardware could also get a major boost. The device is rumored to combine a 200MP camera with a periscope telephoto setup, while keeping a metal frame to strengthen its more premium positioning.
The broader takeaway is that OPPO may be pushing the Reno line back into a more competitive upper tier instead of treating it as a lighter mainstream offering. If the leak holds up, the OPPO Reno 16 Pro could end up standing out on performance, battery life, and imaging all at once.
There is also talk of a smaller standard version with a 6.3-inch display and a different Dimensity 8-series chip, which would give the lineup a clearer split between the mainstream model and the more ambitious Pro variant.
