Xiaomi has launched the Poco C81 and Poco C81x in overseas markets, expanding its entry-level lineup with two affordable 4G phones built around the same Unisoc T7250 processor. The two models are clearly aimed at buyers who want basic smartphone features, large screens, and long battery life without stepping into midrange pricing.

The higher-tier Poco C81 is listed at 10,999 Indian rupees. It comes in Sunset Gold, Sky Blue, and Elite Black, and uses a 6.9-inch HD+ LCD waterdrop display rated at 800 nits of brightness. On the front, Xiaomi includes a modest 8MP selfie camera. Around back, the phone uses a dual-camera layout led by a 13MP main camera plus a secondary helper sensor.
Inside, the Poco C81 pairs the Unisoc T7250 with 4GB of LPDDR4X memory and 64GB of storage. It also packs a 6,300mAh battery and supports 15W wired charging. Connectivity stays on 4G, and the device ships with HyperOS 3 based on Android 16.
The more affordable Poco C81x is priced at 9,999 Indian rupees and comes in Ice Blue and Crystal Black. Its screen is slightly smaller at 6.88 inches and reaches 650 nits of brightness, but it keeps the same HD+ LCD waterdrop style and the same 13MP rear camera setup with an additional secondary sensor.
Xiaomi trims a few specs to hit the lower price point. The Poco C81x uses 3GB of LPDDR4X RAM instead of 4GB, and its battery capacity drops to 5,200mAh. Even so, it still uses the same Unisoc T7250 platform, supports 4G networks, and runs HyperOS 3 based on Android 16.
Neither phone is trying to compete with premium devices, and that is probably the point. Xiaomi seems to be focusing on the parts that matter most in the low-cost segment: display size, recognizable styling, usable battery capacity, and a software build that feels current enough for day-to-day use.
For buyers shopping at the very bottom of the smartphone market, these two models look like straightforward value plays. The split between them is simple as well: the Poco C81 gives you a little more memory, more battery, and a brighter screen, while the Poco C81x is there for people who just want the lower sticker price.
