RedMagic Schedules Its 11S Pro Launch for May 18 With an Overclocked Snapdragon Focus image 1

RedMagic has officially announced a May 18 launch event for the RedMagic 11S Pro. The company says the event will start at 3:00 p.m. and is being promoted with the slogan “Ride the wind and water, lead with overclocking,” a message that clearly points to performance tuning as the headline theme.

Based on the announcement and earlier leaks, the RedMagic 11S Pro is expected to use an overclocked version of the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5. The phone is also expected to pair that chip with active cooling hardware, including a built-in fan and a liquid-cooling design aimed at sustained gaming performance.

The same report says RedMagic may have more than one device on deck. Earlier rumors pointed to a new RedMagic Gaming Tablet 5 Pro and a RedMagic 11S Pro+ smartphone arriving around June. Those products are said to continue the brand’s “full esports” direction, combining flagship-class silicon with aggressive thermal management and gamer-oriented hardware features.

For the tablet specifically, previous leak coverage cited a prototype with a 9-inch 2400 × 1504 OLED display, support for a 185Hz refresh rate, a Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chip, and a liquid-circulation cooling system. Battery capacity for that engineering sample was said to be around 8,300mAh.

RedMagic has also already started teasing the Gaming Tablet 5 Pro separately. The company says the device will introduce a new luminous material, upgraded cooling technology, a signature transparent design, a flat-body build, and PC-grade thermal materials.

If the leaks hold up, the upcoming launch cycle will continue RedMagic’s usual strategy: build around raw speed, then add gamer-first touches like advanced cooling, shoulder controls on the phone side, and display specs that appeal to competitive players. We should get the official hardware breakdown once the May 18 event begins.
