A fresh rumor says Xiaomi may be preparing a price increase for the upcoming REDMI K100 series, although the company is still expected to keep the jump smaller than what competing phones may see. The claim comes from tipster Digital Chat Station, who said in a comment reply that the next K-series lineup will cost more than before, but not by as much as some rivals.
While no official pricing has been announced, the leak adds a bit more detail around the positioning of the upper-end model. Earlier reports said the REDMI K100 Pro Max carries the internal model number Q11X and is expected to continue Xiaomi’s push on both audio quality and haptics.
The same previous leak also pointed to a camera setup that could include a 200MP main sensor and a 50MP periscope telephoto camera. Outside China, that device may reportedly be sold as the POCO F9 Ultra, which would fit Xiaomi’s usual strategy of repackaging certain Redmi flagships for international markets.

As a reference point, IT Home notes that the current REDMI K90 Pro Max launched at 3,999 yuan and later moved to 4,199 yuan, while the REDMI K90 Max started at 2,999 yuan and the standard REDMI K90 began at 2,599 yuan. Those figures help frame what a modest increase on the REDMI K100 series might look like.
For now, the report remains an early leak rather than a confirmed pricing strategy. But if accurate, it suggests Xiaomi wants to leave room for hardware upgrades while still keeping the next K-series lineup relatively aggressive against its direct competition.
