vivo has started teasing the vivo X300 FE in the Austrian market, giving an early look at a phone that appears to combine compact-flagship styling with a large battery and upper-tier hardware. The company says the device will officially go on sale on April 29.

Based on the preview information, the phone is positioned as a smaller flagship model. It measures 8.2mm thick, weighs 192g, and uses a 6.31-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 2640 × 1216. The panel supports a 120Hz refresh rate, while HDR peak brightness is listed at up to 5000 nits. vivo also says the handset carries an IP69 rating for water and dust resistance.

Inside, the vivo X300 FE is expected to run on Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 processor. The camera setup includes a 50MP main rear camera with a 1/1.56-inch sensor, an 8MP ultra-wide camera, and a 50MP periscope telephoto camera with a 1/1.95-inch sensor. According to the published material, an optional teleconverter accessory can extend the focal length to 200mm.

For selfies, the phone uses a 50MP front-facing camera. That gives the device a fairly balanced camera story overall, especially for a model being marketed around a smaller footprint rather than a giant display.
Battery capacity is another standout feature here. vivo lists the phone with a 6500mAh battery, paired with 90W wired charging and 50W wireless charging. That’s an unusually large battery for a device in this size class, and it may end up being one of the more important selling points if the final global positioning stays the same.
Pricing in Austria starts at 999 euros. Taken together, the vivo X300 FE looks like a phone aimed at buyers who want a more manageable in-hand size without giving up flagship-tier silicon, a high-spec OLED panel, or strong battery life. Between the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5, the bright display, and the 6500mAh battery, vivo seems to be leaning hard into the idea of a compact flagship that doesn’t feel compromised.
