A new smartphone leak claims the market will see three more wide foldables this year in addition to the already rumored Huawei Pura X Max.

The information again comes from Digital Chat Station, who said that among the upcoming extra-wide foldable models expected this year, the lowest-priced one is likely to be the Huawei Pura X Max. That does not necessarily make it cheap, but it does suggest Huawei may be trying to push this form factor toward a broader premium audience before rivals fully arrive.

Based on earlier leaks cited by IT Home, one of the other three devices is expected to be Apple’s long-rumored iPhone Fold, while another could be the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold8 Wide. The identity of the remaining model is still unclear.

The report adds that several Chinese brands are currently evaluating next-generation foldable phone designs, and many of them are said to be converging on similar screen strategies. The basic idea is a main display around 7.7 inches, an outer screen around 5.5 inches, and UTG glass paired with a very shallow crease.

If that trend holds, the next wave of wide foldables may be less about wild experimentation and more about refining a shared hardware formula. Brands appear to be moving faster in response to pressure from Huawei and Apple, both of which are expected to have outsized influence on premium foldable design once their next products land.

For now, the report remains unofficial, and there are still plenty of gaps around launch timing, final model names, and pricing. Still, the broader message is clear: the foldable phone race may be about to get much more crowded, and wide foldables could become one of the main battlegrounds.
