Xiaomi has officially confirmed that the Xiaomi 17T series will use a 7,000mAh Xiaomi Jinshajiang battery. The company says the battery can still retain at least 80% capacity after 1,600 cycles, which should make long-term battery health one of the series’ bigger selling points.
The official poster also says this Jinshajiang battery uses Xiaomi’s highest silicon content to date, reaching 16%. Higher silicon content is one of the ways phone makers are trying to fit larger batteries into slim devices without making the hardware feel bulky.
The Xiaomi 17T series was already released overseas on May 28. For reference, the global Xiaomi 17T comes with a 6,500mAh battery, while the 17T Pro increases capacity to a full 7,000mAh battery.

For China, Xiaomi has scheduled the Xiaomi 17T series launch for June 8. The lineup is being previewed with a quad-curved wrapped frame, a flat 2D display, an integrated metal camera Deco design, large rounded corners across the series, and narrow bezels.
The new Xiaomi 17T Pro is also confirmed to use MediaTek’s Dimensity 9500 flagship chip, built on a 3nm process. Xiaomi says GPU performance is up 33% compared with the previous generation, while power consumption is down 42%. Ray-tracing rendering performance is said to improve by 199%.
On the camera side, Xiaomi says the 17T Pro will feature a Leica professional triple-camera setup with a Leica Summilux lens. The setup includes a Leica high-dynamic-range main camera using the Light Hunter 950 sensor with 13.5EV dynamic range, a Leica 5x periscope telephoto camera, and a Leica 120-degree ultra-wide camera.
Across the Xiaomi 17T series, Xiaomi is also promoting a Leica 5x periscope telephoto lens with 5x optical zoom, 10x lossless zoom, 120x UltraZoom, and 30cm telephoto macro shooting.
