Xiaomi’s HyperOS team recently shared an exciting video on X (formerly Twitter), showcasing a Xiaomi 17T Pro launch feature that has tech enthusiasts talking. In the demo, the upcoming phone successfully transferred files directly to an Apple iPhone 17 using Google’s Quick Share. This marks a massive leap forward in Quick Share AirDrop compatibility, a feature long requested by users who live in multi-platform households.
The timing of this teaser aligns perfectly with Xiaomi’s official announcement. The brand confirmed that the new Xiaomi 17T series is scheduled to launch in China on June 8. The lineup features the base Xiaomi 17T and the high-end Xiaomi 17T Pro launch, both marketed as all-around imaging flagships.
Google has previously noted in its official blogs that sharing photos and videos during family gatherings or events can be incredibly frustrating when everyone uses different devices. To break down these walls, Google has been working hard to simplify file transfers between Android and iOS. This latest breakthrough in Xiaomi 17T Pro cross-platform sharing represents a major milestone in that effort.
Currently, several high-end Android devices already support this seamless Quick Share AirDrop compatibility out of the box, including:

Google is also preparing a second wave of updates to expand this cross-platform compatibility to more devices, including:

- Samsung Galaxy S24 series
- Samsung Galaxy Z Fold7, Z Fold6, Z Flip7, Z Flip6, and the Z TriFold folding phone
- OPPO Find X8 series
- OnePlus 15
- Honor Magic V6 and Magic8 Pro
According to Google, the rollout will continue to expand throughout 2026, eventually covering a wide array of devices from Samsung, OPPO, OnePlus, vivo, Xiaomi, and Honor. If you own a compatible device, you can easily use the ‘Quick Share’ feature on any Android phone to generate a QR code. From there, the receiving iOS device can scan it and instantly pull the files via the cloud, making Xiaomi 17T Pro cross-platform sharing painless for everyone.
