Xiaomi officially introduced the Xiaomi 17T series for the Chinese market on June 8, including the Xiaomi 17T and Xiaomi 17T Pro. The lineup is positioned as an all-around imaging flagship family, and both phones had already been released overseas before the China launch.

IT Home has now handled the 16GB + 512GB Nebula Purple version of the Xiaomi 17T Pro, giving us a closer look at the phone’s design, packaging, materials, display, and bundled accessories.

The retail box uses a flat rectangular shape that is roughly one and a half times the length of a traditional standard phone box. The packaging is mostly white and intentionally minimal. The front shows only the Xiaomi logo, the product model text, the Leica red badge, and the Xiaomi HyperOS logo.

Open the box and the phone itself is the first thing you see. The Xiaomi 17T Pro uses a flat display and a right-angled middle frame. The back is AG matte glass, giving the phone a clean and restrained look. Apart from the camera module, flash, and Xiaomi logo, there is very little visual clutter.

The unit shown here is the Nebula Purple color. It is not a bright or flashy purple. Instead, it is deep, muted, and fairly low-key. The matte AG glass keeps the surface from looking too glossy, although certain lighting angles still bring out a brighter reflection. That understated finish fits the phone’s mid-to-high-end positioning well.

The rear camera module uses a straight, platform-style layout. Four circular camera positions are arranged in a balanced square pattern, with the Leica logo and camera specification text placed in the center. The edge of the camera deco has a glossy chamfer, adding a little sharpness and refinement to an otherwise simple design.

The middle frame matches the body color, which gives the phone a strong sense of visual unity. Xiaomi uses aluminum alloy for the frame, finished with a matte sandblasted texture. In hand, it is meant to feel sturdy and solid rather than slippery or overly polished.

The four corners of the frame use what Xiaomi describes as a golden-curve design. The curvature is controlled and natural, aiming for a balance between rounded comfort and the more angular look of a modern flat-sided phone.

On the front, the phone has a 6.83-inch screen. Xiaomi says the panel uses advanced lithium-ion packaging technology, allowing all four bezels to be reduced precisely to 1.29mm. When the display is on, the result is a highly immersive front view with a very strong screen-to-body impression.

The display resolution is 2772 × 1280, or 1.5K. It supports 12-bit color depth, covers 100% of the DCI-P3 color gamut, and reaches a maximum refresh rate of 144Hz. Xiaomi lists peak brightness at 3,500 nits, and the panel also supports 1-nit ultra-low-brightness viewing for darker environments.

The physical layout is straightforward. The volume rocker and power button sit on the right side. The left side has no buttons. There are no openings on the top edge, while the bottom includes the SIM tray, microphone, USB-C port, and speaker cutout.

In terms of size, Xiaomi’s official figures list the Xiaomi 17T Pro at 162.2mm long, 77.5mm wide, and 8.25mm thick. The phone weighs 219g, which places it firmly in large flagship territory without becoming unusually thick.

The accessory package is also fairly complete. Xiaomi includes a black soft protective case, a 100W charger, a USB cable, a SIM ejector tool, manuals, and the usual documentation. That is worth noting because many phone makers have reduced or removed charging accessories in some markets.

Overall, the Xiaomi 17T Pro comes across as simple but not plain. The design does not chase excessive decoration, but the materials, finish, camera module treatment, and tight front bezel design all help it feel appropriately premium. For buyers who care about build quality, visual balance, and a high screen-to-body ratio, the Xiaomi 17T Pro leaves a strong first impression.
