The Xiaomi 17T series has already made its global debut, and Xiaomi now says the lineup is also headed to China soon. According to comments shared by Xiaomi executive Lu Weibing, the domestic release is scheduled for early June and will mark the first T-series return to the Chinese market.

Lu said the launch will come with a new presentation format and a very young lead presenter, with the goal of showing more of the Xiaomi team’s younger energy. He also said the company has made stronger localization changes on top of the internationally released versions so the phones fit domestic user habits better.

That means the upcoming China launch is not being framed as a simple copy of the overseas release. Xiaomi appears to be positioning the local version as a more tailored product rather than a straight rebrand of the global models.

Lu also said the T series now has more than 15 million users worldwide across Europe, Southeast Asia, Latin America, the Middle East, Japan, and more than 100 countries and regions in total.

As for the hardware already announced overseas, the standard Xiaomi 17T uses a Dimensity 8500-Ultra chip, a 6.59-inch display with a 120Hz refresh rate, and a 6500mAh silicon-carbon battery with 67W fast charging. The global starting price is 749 euros.

The Xiaomi 17T Pro steps up to a Dimensity 9500 processor, a 6.83-inch display with a 144Hz refresh rate, and a 7000mAh silicon-carbon battery. It also supports 100W wired charging and 50W wireless charging, with a global starting price of 899 euros.

For now, Xiaomi hasn’t published the full China-market spec sheet or pricing, but the company has confirmed the overall timing. If Lu’s comments hold, the first domestic T-series model after the line’s return should arrive within the first part of June under a new launch format built specifically for the local audience.
