Xiaomi 17 Max Clears 3C Certification With 100W Charging Ahead of Expected Late-May Debut

A newly certified Xiaomi handset is widely expected to be the Xiaomi 17 Max, after a device carrying model number 2605EPN8EC appeared in China’s 3C database. The filing suggests the phone is getting close to launch, with current reports pointing to a late-May debut window.

The certification shows support for 100W fast charging and lists Xiaomi’s MDY-18-EW power adapter, the same charger associated with the standard Xiaomi 17 package. That alone doesn’t reveal the full product strategy, but it does confirm one of the key charging details ahead of the official announcement.

Based on earlier leaks cited in the report, the Xiaomi 17 Max is expected to use Qualcomm’s fifth-generation Snapdragon 8 Elite platform. The rest of the rumored hardware paints it as a large-screen flagship, including a 6.9-inch 1.5K flat display with very slim bezels, a 200MP main camera, a 50MP telephoto macro camera, dual symmetrical speakers, and 3D ultrasonic fingerprint recognition.

Battery capacity is also shaping up to be one of the main selling points. The phone is said to carry an 8,000mAh-class battery, which would put it among the more aggressive endurance-focused flagship designs in its segment, while the report also mentions a high level of water resistance.

For now, Xiaomi hasn’t officially confirmed the product name or full spec sheet. Still, the 3C appearance gives the latest wave of Xiaomi 17 Max rumors a more concrete foundation, especially around charging support and launch timing.
