Samsung has started pushing One UI 8.5 to the Galaxy S23 lineup in more regions, expanding a release that had previously been limited to South Korea. According to SamMobile, the stable update is now reaching users in Europe and India, with a broader global rollout expected over the next few days.

The update is based on Android 16 and is available for the Galaxy S23, Galaxy S23+, and Galaxy S23 Ultra. The reported firmware version for the international models is S91xBXXU9FZDP.

Package size depends on where a device is coming from. Users who were not enrolled in the beta program are seeing a download that is more than 4GB, while people upgrading from the test build are getting a much smaller package of roughly 300MB.

On the software side, Samsung is adding a fully customizable quick panel, a redesigned device care section, and some lighter interface wording tweaks across the system. The release doesn’t look like a total visual overhaul, but it does bring a noticeable round of refinement.

Samsung is also expanding a few imaging-related features. Galaxy AI’s image assistant now supports continuous image generation, the camera app adds three new portrait filters, and lock screen wallpapers can better adapt to widget placement as well as the position of people or objects in the wallpaper itself.

For S23 owners outside the first rollout markets, the key takeaway is simple: the wider stable release has started, and broader availability should keep spreading country by country rather than appearing everywhere at once.
