A new leak is painting the HMD Grand as a straightforward budget 4G phone, with the kind of big screen and oversized battery setup aimed at buyers who care more about endurance and day-to-day value than top-end performance.
Tipster smashx_60 has shared what are said to be official renders of the device along with a broader spec sheet. Based on those details, HMD appears to be preparing the phone for a lower-cost position in the market, with a launch expected soon.
The phone is said to come in Florida Blue and Titanium Black. Up front, it reportedly uses a 6.9-inch FHD+ IPS LCD panel with a 90Hz refresh rate and a punch-hole cutout for a 50MP selfie camera. On the back, the leak points to a 50MP main camera paired with an 8MP ultra-wide sensor.
Inside, the device is expected to run on Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 6s 4G Gen 2. As IT Home notes, that chip is essentially a lightly tuned version of the Snapdragon 685, with the four Cortex-A73 performance cores bumped by 0.1GHz. In practical terms, that should place performance somewhere between the MediaTek Helio G85 and G99 tiers rather than in the modern midrange 5G class.
Memory and storage options are tipped at 6GB or 8GB of RAM and 128GB or 256GB of storage. One of the more notable claims is the 6000mAh battery, which could give the phone a real advantage for users who prioritize longer time away from the charger.
Other leaked details include dual speakers, Bluetooth 5.1, Wi‑Fi 5, and NFC support. Nothing here suggests HMD is chasing headline specs, but the combination does look reasonable for a mass-market phone built around battery life, a large display, and familiar camera hardware.
For now, HMD hasn’t announced the phone publicly, so the final name, pricing, and release timing still need confirmation. Even so, the leak gives a fairly clear early picture of what the HMD Grand may bring to the entry-level segment.
