Details regarding a brand-new 2nm large-screen flagship have emerged. According to a leak by @DigitalChatStation, the device will debut a new generation LOFIC tech on its 200MP main camera (1/1.28-inch sensor size). The telephoto camera on the engineering prototype is listed as a 200MP 1/1.56-inch module with a 3X± zoom factor and f/2.4± aperture, supporting close-up macro photography. Both the sensor and optical elements have reportedly been completely refreshed.
Given the source’s leak patterns and the reference to a “large-screen iterative flagship,” the tech community strongly expects this device to launch as the Xiaomi 18 Pro Max. Last month, the same blogger reported that the overall design language of Xiaomi’s next-generation flagships will remain consistent, though the LIPO bezels surrounding the dual-size screens will be further trimmed.

The Xiaomi 18 Pro Max and its siblings are rumored to introduce a dedicated AI button. The massive rear camera module has received minor manufacturing upgrades, and the chassis options will likely include glass and glass fiber. An next-generation transparent glass fiber back is currently being tested alongside photochromic solutions, with bold colorways under evaluation for the engineering units.
For context, the Xiaomi 17 Pro Max launched last September starting at 5,999 RMB (roughly $825 USD). It featured a 6.9-inch large flat display, a Leica professional triple-camera system, a 7,500mAh Xiaomi Jinshajiang battery with 100W wired charging, a Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor, and a signature rear display panel.
