Honor X80 Pro Max Teased for June as X Series Tops 130 Million Users

Honor has officially teased the Honor X80 Pro Max, saying the phone is “ready to launch” and will be released later this month. The company also said its Honor X series has now passed 130 million users worldwide, giving the upcoming model a large existing audience to build on.

According to details shared by blogger Wangzai Baishitong, the Honor X80 Pro Max will focus on durability, toughness, and battery life. The phone is expected to carry an oversized battery, support 90W wired charging, and offer 27W wired reverse charging. Honor is also promoting full-level dust and water resistance, along with a body design built to survive drops more effectively.

Earlier reports from blogger Digital Chat Station outlined the main specifications. The phone is said to come in four colors: Lightning Red, Black Armor, Moonlight White, and Vitality Orange. It is expected to use what the source described as a flagship-grade industrial design, with a 6.78-inch OLED display on the front.

That display is reportedly a 2788 x 1280 panel. Inside, the Honor X80 Pro Max is said to use Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 6 Gen 5 platform, placing it in the upper mid-range rather than true flagship territory. The most striking hardware detail is the rumored 11000mAh battery, paired with 90W charging.

The Snapdragon 6 Gen 5 is Qualcomm’s mobile platform for the mid-range segment. Its predecessor, the Snapdragon 6 Gen 1, was introduced in 2022, so the new chip would represent a major update for phones in this class. Honor is also expected to have an Honor X70 Pro Max in the same broader lineup, though reliable details for that model remain limited. It is currently expected to sit slightly below the X80 Pro Max.

Digital Chat Station first shared the Honor X80 Pro Max specifications on June 9, 2026, and hinted that the phone may borrow some design language from Honor’s higher-end product families. That would make sense if Honor wants the X series to feel more premium while still staying focused on long battery life and practical durability.

The “full-level” dust and water resistance claim usually points to an IP68-level protection rating. In practical terms, IP68 devices are designed to resist dust completely and survive being submerged in water under controlled conditions, typically around 1.5 meters for 30 minutes. Honor has not yet confirmed the final certification details in this teaser, so the exact rating will still need to be checked at launch.

The rumored 11000mAh battery would put the phone near the very top of the current smartphone market for capacity, far above the battery sizes found in most mainstream flagships. If the claim is accurate, the Honor X80 Pro Max could appeal to users who care more about endurance and rugged everyday reliability than ultra-thin design.

Honor has not yet released complete pricing or availability details. For now, the confirmed timeline is a June launch, with the Honor X series milestone of 130 million users serving as the backdrop for what looks like one of Honor’s most battery-focused phones of the year.
