Apple iOS 27 May Refresh Find My and Test Natural-Language Photo Editing, Gurman Says

Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman published a new report on June 6 outlining several features and interface changes Apple is expected to bring with iOS 27.

The update is said to focus mainly on expanding Siri and Apple Intelligence capabilities. At the same time, Apple is reportedly making changes to several frequently used system apps, bringing more AI features into everyday interface, interaction, and image-editing experiences.

One of the apps getting attention is Find My. According to the report, Apple plans to refresh the visual experience in Find My under iOS 27, including updates to elements such as the icons in the bottom navigation tab bar.

The Photos app is also expected to receive improvements. Apple will reportedly enhance the Clean Up feature and continue building out native photo organization and retouching tools, so users can handle more image work inside Apple’s own app instead of relying as much on third-party tools.

Gurman also says Apple is testing photo editing based on natural-language prompts. In practice, users may eventually be able to tell the system, by voice or text, to do something like “crop the image” or “adjust the colors,” and the Photos app would carry out the edit. This feature may not arrive in the first release of iOS 27.

On the system-interaction side, iOS 27 is expected to add new animation effects for incoming call notifications. Apple may also adjust pull-down gestures: swiping down from the left side would open Notification Center, while swiping down from the middle of the screen would open Search or an Ask AI panel.

The report is part of the wider lead-up to Apple’s WWDC26 developer conference. As usual with pre-release software leaks, these details should be treated as early information until Apple confirms the final feature set.
