New photos said to show iPhone 18 Pro Max dummy units have surfaced online, giving an early look at several colors Apple may be testing for its next Pro Max model. The images were shared on X by the source @Jon4Lakers on June 12 and show units in Dark Cherry, light blue, and dark gray.
The most eye-catching option is Dark Cherry, a deep wine-red shade that is expected to be the signature color for the iPhone 18 Pro series. If the report is accurate, it could take the place of the iPhone 17 Pro line’s Star Orange as Apple’s main visual hook for the new Pro generation.
Based on the leaked dummy units, Dark Cherry looks more restrained than a bright red finish. It leans toward a darker burgundy tone, which could make the phone feel a little more formal and businesslike while still standing out next to the usual black, silver, and gray options.
The source described the color as refined and calm enough for professional settings, but still distinctive enough to be noticed. That balance would fit Apple’s recent habit of giving the Pro iPhone line one more expressive color while keeping the rest of the palette conservative.
The photos also show a light blue version. This shade appears close to the Mist Blue tone used on the iPhone 17, with a low-saturation look and a soft gray undertone rather than a bright sky-blue finish.
A dark gray version is also shown, along with references to a silver option being tested. Those colors would give Apple a more traditional set of neutral choices alongside the new Dark Cherry finish.
As always with early color leaks, the images should be treated as unconfirmed. Dummy models are often made from accessory supply-chain information, and Apple can still adjust final materials, coatings, or color names before launch.
Still, the leak gives U.S. buyers a useful early sense of where Apple may be heading with the iPhone 18 Pro Max look: a darker, more mature hero color, a softer blue, and familiar neutral finishes for people who prefer a quieter design.
