Front Page Tech host Jon Prosser shared a new video on May 8 showing renders that he says depict Apple’s upcoming iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max. The reported design doesn’t radically change the overall look of the phones, but it does focus on a smaller front cutout and a few notable hardware refinements.

According to the leak, the biggest visible change is on the front. Apple is said to be trimming the Dynamic Island by about 25% compared with the expected iPhone 17 Pro generation, which would give both Pro models a cleaner and more immersive full-screen appearance.

On the camera side, the report says Apple may add a variable aperture system to the rear camera. That would let the phone adjust incoming light depending on the scene, helping suppress blown highlights in bright conditions while allowing in more light and better depth control in darker environments.

The leak also claims Apple could simplify the camera control button. Pressure sensitivity is expected to remain, but the capacitive touch layer may be removed. For battery life, the iPhone 18 Pro Max is reportedly being lined up with a 5,200mAh battery, which could help it last through a full day even under heavier use.

Connectivity is another area to watch. Both Pro models are rumored to adopt Apple’s new C2 5G modem and support satellite-enabled 5G connectivity, with the goal of improving performance in weak-signal areas. None of this is official yet, but if the leak holds up, Apple may be aiming for a more polished upgrade that improves display immersion, photography flexibility, battery life, and network reliability all at once.
