OPPO has responded to user complaints about a strange video color issue on the OPPO Find X9 Ultra, saying the problem is a known software defect and that a fix is planned through a late-May OTA update.

The issue drew attention after users said white objects could suddenly turn pink while recording video. One user described noticing it while filming clouds during a road trip, where bright white areas in the sky appeared pink instead. Another demonstrated that a white building looked normal at first, but shifted to pink as soon as the camera zoomed to 2x.

According to those reports, restarting the phone did not remove the problem. Users also said the effect was especially obvious on white pavement, clothing, and other bright areas in the frame. When switching to the telephoto camera, colors reportedly returned to normal, but the pink cast came back after moving back to the shorter focal length camera.

OPPO customer service said the bug only affects the OPPO Find X9 Ultra. The company says engineers have already resolved the issue internally and expect to push the correction in a late-May OTA update.

For now, the story is less about new hardware and more about quality control. The core issue is simple: users are seeing a visible pink tint bug in video capture, and OPPO says a software patch is on the way.
