RedMagic 11S Pro Confirmed With Snapdragon 8 Elite Leading Edition and 2K 144Hz Gaming Features

RedMagic 11S Pro is now officially on the calendar, with the launch event set for May 18 at 3:00 p.m. in China. The company is using the slogan “Overclocked and Out Front,” and the big headline is its use of the Snapdragon 8 Elite Leading Edition.

According to RedMagic, this is not just a standard flagship chip with a new label. The company says the processor comes from the center area of the wafer and has to pass a frequency sprint test before it can even enter the candidate pool for the leading edition. Chips that clear that first screening are then pushed through extreme-environment adaptive voltage testing, where both voltage and frequency are driven to their limits to check stability and power behavior.

In RedMagic’s telling, only the best-performing chips that can stay stable under those conditions earn the “leading edition” label. That framing makes it clear the brand wants to position the phone as a premium performance-focused device rather than just another routine mid-cycle refresh.

The phone will also include the Red Core R4 and the RedMagic CUBE Sky Engine 3.0. Together, those are said to enable concurrent 2K 144Hz gaming features, including super-resolution and frame interpolation, across more than 200 popular game titles.

RedMagic is also warming up its Gaming Tablet 5 Pro ahead of launch. The company says that tablet will debut new luminous materials, upgraded cooling technology, a transparent design language, a fully flat body design, and PC-grade thermal materials.

Earlier reporting cited tipster Digital Chat Station as saying the latest engineering version of the RedMagic Gaming Tablet 5 Pro uses a 9-inch 2400 x 1504 OLED display with a 185Hz refresh rate. The device was also said to pair a Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chip with a liquid-cooling circulation system and a battery rated around 8300mAh.

For now, the officially confirmed part is the smartphone launch timing and its use of the Snapdragon 8 Elite Leading Edition. Still, the additional details give a clearer picture of how RedMagic plans to market this release: aggressive gaming performance, display-heavy specs, and hardware tuned for sustained load.
