Apple has confirmed that tvOS 27 will introduce new accessibility settings that let users adjust system-wide text size, a change meant to make the Apple TV interface easier to read for people with low vision.

The update is expected to be presented during WWDC26 on June 9 alongside iOS 27, macOS 27, and visionOS 27. Apple signaled the feature this week in an official announcement, giving an early look at one of the accessibility improvements coming to the TV platform.

Based on Apple’s wording, the new option will let users enlarge interface text across the system instead of relying only on isolated readability tools. The company’s comparison images suggest the change is substantial enough to make on-screen labels and controls much easier to read from a distance.

That matters because the current generation, tvOS 26, already includes tools like Bold Text and Hover Text, but it still lacks a true system-wide Dynamic Type-style adjustment. In practice, that has left users with limited ways to increase text size consistently throughout the interface.

With this update, Apple appears to be closing that gap. For users who struggle with smaller text on large-screen interfaces, especially in living room viewing conditions, the new text size controls could make everyday navigation meaningfully more comfortable.

More complete implementation details should arrive once Apple formally unveils tvOS 27 at WWDC, but the early confirmation already makes this one of the more notable accessibility upgrades coming to Apple TV this year.
