vivo has opened preorders for the new vivo Y6t, positioning the phone as a budget-friendly model with an extra-large battery and a high-refresh-rate display. The device starts at 1,299 yuan for the 6GB + 128GB version.

One of the biggest selling points here is the battery. vivo says the phone packs a 6500mAh battery, and product-page materials claim it can support roughly 9.7 hours of continuous navigation. The company is also framing the device around long-term durability, saying it is designed for up to five years of extended use.

Design-wise, the phone comes in three color options: blue, white, and black. On the back, it uses a compact camera layout paired with a ring-style decorative module and what vivo describes as a dynamic breathing light effect.

For the display, the vivo Y6t uses a 6.74-inch 120Hz LCD panel with a resolution of 1600 × 720. Touch sampling goes up to 240Hz, and peak brightness is listed at 1200 nits, which should help with readability in brighter environments.

Inside, the phone runs on Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 mobile platform. It is paired with dual-channel LPDDR4X memory and UFS 3.1 storage, a combination that should be adequate for everyday apps, communication, and light gaming in this price range.

The rest of the spec sheet includes IP65 dust and water resistance, TÜV Rheinland low blue light certification, and an infrared remote-control function. Out of the box, the phone ships with OriginOS 6.

Overall, vivo seems to be aiming this model at buyers who care more about battery life, smooth basic performance, and practical daily features than flagship-level camera hardware or display resolution. At 1,299 yuan, the Y6t fits neatly into the value-focused end of the market.
