Xiaomi 17 Max Clears 3C Certification With 100W Charging Ahead of an Expected Late-May Launch image 1

A new Xiaomi handset with model number 2605EPN8EC has passed 3C certification in China, and tipster Digital Chat Station says it is the upcoming Xiaomi 17 Max. That makes this one of the clearest public signs yet that the phone is getting close to launch.

According to the certification listing, the device ships with Xiaomi’s MDY-18-EW power adapter, the same charger referenced as the standard adapter for the Xiaomi 17 lineup. The key headline from the filing is support for 100W charging.

Earlier leaks cited by IT Home paint the rest of the phone as a large-screen flagship. The rumored spec sheet includes Qualcomm’s fifth-generation Snapdragon 8 Elite platform, a 6.9-inch 1.5K flat display with narrow bezels, a 200MP main camera, and a 50MP telephoto macro camera.

Other rumored hardware details include dual stereo speakers, a battery in the 8,000mAh class, a 3D ultrasonic fingerprint sensor, and full water resistance. If those details hold up, the Xiaomi 17 Max could land as a very aggressive mix of battery capacity, fast charging, and flagship-level core hardware.

For now, Xiaomi still hasn’t confirmed the phone publicly. Even so, the new 3C certification filing lines up with earlier talk that the device could be introduced later this month, so the late-May timing now looks more believable than before.
