Motorola has officially introduced the new Moto Razr Fold, marking the brand’s first large foldable phone. The device starts at 9,999 yuan and arrives as a more ambitious step beyond the company’s clamshell-style foldables.
The phone comes in black and white, and Motorola is also preparing a FIFA limited edition with a global run of 2,000 units. In terms of hardware design, the Razr Fold measures 9.9mm when folded and 4.6mm when opened, with a listed weight of about 244 grams.
Motorola is giving the device a high-end camera setup on both sides. For selfies, it uses a 32MP front-facing camera on the outer display and a 20MP camera on the inner side. Around the back, the main system includes a 50MP primary camera based on the LYT-828 sensor, a 50MP ultra-wide camera, and a 50MP 3x periscope telephoto camera using the LYT-600 sensor.

The display package is one of the headline features. Inside, the phone uses an 8.1-inch panel with a 2882 x 2232 resolution, a 120Hz LTPO refresh rate, and UTG glass protection. The outer screen measures 6.6 inches with a 2520 x 1080 resolution and a 165Hz refresh rate. Motorola also says this is the first phone to use Corning Gorilla Glass Ceramic 3.
Powering the device is Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chip, paired with up to 16GB of RAM. Motorola also packs in a large 6000mAh battery, which is notable for a foldable this size. Charging support includes 80W wired fast charging and 50W wireless charging.
Another extra is support for the Moto Pen Ultra stylus, which adds a productivity angle for users who want a foldable that can handle note-taking, sketching, or multitasking on a bigger screen.
Based on the announced specs, Motorola is positioning the Moto Razr Fold as a premium large-screen foldable with a strong camera setup, a flagship Snapdragon platform, and unusually large battery capacity for this category.
