A newly shared case image suggests Apple’s first foldable iPhone may still support MagSafe, which would be a big deal for compatibility with the wider iPhone accessory ecosystem.
According to a post from leaker Majin Bu on X, the leaked case appears to be designed for Apple’s long-rumored foldable model, which some reports expect could eventually launch as an iPhone Fold or possibly an iPhone Ultra.
What stands out most is the inside of the case. The image reportedly shows a clearly printed MagSafe ring, hinting that Apple may have found a way to preserve magnetic charging and accessory support even in a thinner foldable design.
That matters because earlier dummy-unit leaks had raised doubts. Some previously shared images suggested the foldable device might not include the usual magnetic ring layout seen on modern iPhones, while the iPhone 18 Pro lineup still appeared to keep it.
If this latest leak is accurate, Apple may have solved the fit and engineering issues that come with combining a folding form factor, a slim chassis, and MagSafe hardware in the same product.
The broader rumor picture hasn’t changed much. The device is still expected to use a book-style foldable design with a flexible OLED display, plus a roughly 5.5-inch outer screen and a larger inner screen in the 7.6-inch to 7.8-inch range when opened.
Reports also suggest Apple wants the hardware to stay close to the Pro tier in overall positioning. That could mean flagship-level components, along with software features better tuned for multitasking on a larger inner display.
For now, this is still a leak rather than an official confirmation. Even so, the case image adds one more clue that Apple’s first foldable iPhone may be designed to work more like a true extension of the existing iPhone ecosystem, not a compromise device with missing core features.
