OPPO Starts Rolling Out ColorOS 16 to Find X8, OnePlus 15, and More Devices

OPPO has officially begun rolling out ColorOS 16, the company’s new-generation mobile software first introduced in April. The initial release wave covers the Find X8 lineup, the OnePlus 15, and a long list of additional OPPO and OnePlus devices.

According to OPPO, the new update introduces a redesigned lock-screen island, improved notification organization, system-level seamless animations, OPPO AI features, and a panoramic floating window experience. The company is also highlighting upgrades around headphone audio sharing, cross-ecosystem file transfers, desktop layout cleanup, and several day-to-day convenience tools.

The first formal rollout list is broad. It includes OPPO models such as the Find N6, Find N5, Find X9 series, Find X8 series, Find X7 series, Reno15 series, Reno14 series, K15 Pro family, K13 Turbo Pro, and Pad tablets. On the OnePlus side, the release plan also extends to devices including the OnePlus 15, 15T, 13, 13T, Ace 6, Ace 6T, Turbo 6, Turbo 6V, and tablet products.

Beyond the headline interface changes, OPPO is clearly positioning ColorOS 16 as a platform update focused on smoother interactions and broader ecosystem continuity. Features like cross-device storage access, smarter layout handling, and more refined animations suggest the company is trying to make the experience feel more integrated across phones, tablets, and accessories rather than treating the update as a visual refresh alone.

For users already inside the OPPO and OnePlus ecosystem, the update may be most meaningful in the smaller practical changes: faster sharing, cleaner notifications, better multi-window behavior, and tighter AI-assisted workflows. The rollout is starting with flagship and upper-tier models first, so broader device coverage will likely continue in stages as OPPO expands the release schedule.
