The premium REDMI K90 Pro Max has received a massive price cut for the annual 618 shopping season. Originally launched last October at 5,299 RMB for the 16GB + 1TB storage tier, the flagship smartphone is now available for under 4,000 RMB (around 3,949 RMB or $545 USD) by combining store promotions with China’s national electronic subsidies. This represents a substantial discount for a device packed with high-end specifications.

Design-wise, the REDMI K90 Pro Max features a sleek aesthetic with smooth rounded corners and ultra-narrow borders. The back showcases a unibody metal “volcanic” camera module. Right next to the camera is a prominent speaker mesh emblazoned with the “Sound by Bose” logo, highlighting the phone’s custom Bose tuning. It features symmetrical 1115F dual speakers and 2.1-channel stereo sound for an immersive audio experience.

On the front, the phone boasts a massive 6.9-inch 120Hz RGB OLED flat display with perfectly symmetrical bezels. Using premium M10 light-emitting material, it supports full-brightness DC dimming, circular polarization 2.0, a 1-nit low-brightness mode, and Xiaomi Qingshan Eye Protection 3.0. Crucially, the display utilizes the exact same “Super Pixel” full RGB subpixel layout as the high-end Xiaomi 17 Pro Max for superior text clarity and color accuracy.

Under the hood, the device is powered by the flagship Snapdragon 8 Elite processor paired with an independent D2 graphics chip. To keep thermals in check during heavy workloads, it relies on a massive 6,700mm² 3D ice-loop cooling pump. It also packs a huge 7,560mAh battery that supports 100W wired fast charging, 50W wireless charging, and 22.5W reverse charging. It fully supports the 100W PPS charging protocol and bypass charging to preserve battery health during gaming.

The camera setup is equally impressive. The phone features a 50-megapixel 1/1.31-inch primary camera (the Light Hunter 950 sensor, shared with the standard Xiaomi 17), a 50-megapixel ultra-wide lens, and REDMI’s first-ever 50-megapixel 5X periscope telephoto camera supporting 5X optical zoom, 10X lossless zoom, and optical image stabilization (OIS). Other specs include a 3D ultrasonic fingerprint scanner, IP68 and IP69 dust/water resistance, a large X-axis haptic motor, and a fast USB 3.2 Gen1 port.
