The highly anticipated next-generation foldable flagship from vivo, expected to be named the vivo X Fold6, is reportedly scheduled for an official launch in late June 2026. According to prominent industry tipsters, this upcoming foldable device aims to redefine performance and battery boundaries in the foldable market by integrating a top-tier flagship processor, a massive battery, and an advanced periscope zoom system into a remarkably slim and light profile.
At the center of its performance capabilities is MediaTek’s high-end MediaTek Dimensity 9500 processor, which will supply the processing power necessary for intensive multitasking across the foldable display. The phone is rumored to feature a stunning 8.02-inch 2K UTG flexible internal screen, accompanied by a spacious 6.51-inch outer cover screen. Both displays will offer ultra-responsive refresh rates and outstanding color accuracy. To back this high-performance package, vivo is squeezing a massive 7,000mAh battery into the chassis—a historic high for thin foldables—complete with fast wireless charging support and comprehensive IP-rated water and dust resistance.
The camera setup is similarly impressive. The vivo X Fold6 will feature a ground-breaking 200-megapixel main sensor on the rear, coupled with a 50-megapixel ultra-wide lens and a 50-megapixel mid-size periscope telephoto lens to cover extreme focal lengths. Front-facing duties are handled by dual 20-megapixel cameras (one for the inner screen and one for the outer screen). As a point of reference, the previous generation vivo X Fold5 launched in June 2025 starting at 6,999 yuan (approx. $965 USD), utilizing a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset and a 6,000mAh battery. The upcoming Fold6 represents a substantial leap forward in both processing power, battery density, and zoom capabilities.
